Intel (INTC): A Turnaround in Sight?
On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Intel’s (INTC) stock experienced a remarkable surge of 16.1% and closed at $27.39. This closing price is approximately 4.1% above the high from November 2024, which stood at around $26.45.

On the previous trading day, Friday, February 14, 2025, the stock rebounded at approximately $25.20 off the 200-day exponential moving average (EMA200). On the following trading day, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, it broke through this average and closed significantly above it, without falling back below during the session.

The stochastic oscillator I use (K-Length 14, K-Smoothing 5, D-Smoothing 3) indicates a tendency on the daily interval for the stock to move into the overbought territory (above 80). Additionally, the rebound at the 20-level on a weekly basis, coupled with the sharp recovery from an oversold condition on a monthly basis, supports the possibility of an overbought market phase on the daily interval.

Considering the bullish retracements within the downtrend that has persisted since 2020/2021, it is conceivable that the stock could reach or even exceed a price level of around $34.

Although many fundamental metrics currently appear less favorable, in the final quarter of fiscal year 2024, the figures "Total Assets: $196.49B (+2.56%)" and "Total Liabilities: $91.45B (+12.07%)" stand out relatively positively. The debt levels, with "Total Debt: $50.47B" and "Net Debt: $28.41B," remain manageable in relation to the total assets.

Conclusion / Outlook:
Both technical and fundamental signals suggest that Intel is currently in a recovery phase. The breakthrough above the EMA200 and the bullish retracements within the long-term downtrend indicate a potential upward trend. For value investors, this could represent an attractive opportunity – provided the company continues to implement its strategic measures consistently.
